Ipa-more-lin is a kind of G-H

Ipa-more-lin is a pep-tidic, selective a-gonist of the g-hre-lin/gr-'ow-th hor-mo'-ne secret-agogue receptor (G-H-S) and a gr-'ow-th hor-mo'-ne secretagogue.It is a penta-peptide with the amino a-cid sequence Aib-H-is-D-2-N-al-D-Phe-Lys-N-H2 that was derived from G-H-1.

Ipa-more-lin or N-N-C 2-6-0-161, a poly-peptide hor-m-one, is a gr-'ow-th hor-mo'-ne sec-retagogue and g-hr-e-lin mi-metic and an-alog. Ipa-more-lin belongs to the most recent generation of G-Hs and causes sig-nificant release of gr-'ow-th hor-mo'-ne by itself, due both to its suppression of soma-tostatin (an antago-nist to G-H) and stimu-lation of release of -GH from the anterior pituitary, similar to G-H-2 and G-H -6 which are com-pounds from the same class (gr-'ow-th hor-mo'-ne releasing Peptides).  The cells that pr-oduce and release G-H are known as som-atotropes.   Ipa-more-lin acts syner-gisti-cally when applied during a native G-H-R-H (gro-wth-hor-mo-ne relea-sing ho-rmone) pulse or when co-adminis-tered with G-H-R-H or a G-H-R-H analog such as Se-r-more-lin or G-R-'F 1-29 (gr-owth releasing factor, am-in-os 1-29).  

The sy-nergy comes both due to the suppre-ssion of som-atostatin and the fact that Ipa-more-lin increases G-H relea-se per-som-atotrope, while G-H inc-reases the number of so-mato-tropes rele-as-ng G-H.  There is also a secondary eff-ect of ne-u-ronal ex-c-ita-tion in the hypot-halamus c-aused by Ipa-mo-re-lin, which lasts for app-roxim-ately 3 hours after applic-ation, similar to G-H-2 and G-H-6.
